If you are receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)В benefits, your child automatically qualifies for free school meals. The school or local education agency will process your application and issue an eligibility determination. If you are earning at or below current Income Eligibility Guidelines, we encourage you to contact your school to fill out a school meal application. Your school will provide you with an application upon request. However, you may apply for school meals at any time throughout the school year by submitting a household application directly to your school. SchoolsВ applications are available in the main office at each building. To see if you qualify for additional benefits, you may complete a free/reduced meal applicationВ at or by completing a paper application located in the main office of your school building. If you will not be attending Chippewa Valley Schools next year, please complete this form regarding the disposition of your funds.ДЇree/Reduced Breakfast & LunchВ Information National School Lunch Program (NSLP)ДЄpplying for Free and Reduced Price School Meals To adjust parental controls and determine what your student spends their money on during lunch and breakfast, please visit your account on Family Portal. Reminders are sent whenever balances fall below the notification level that you set! Be sure to look for this new feature! Parental Controls on Family Portal If you currently use Family PortalВ to deposit money for your child, you can choose to subscribe to Low-Balance emails. Your child's student ID number may be obtained from their school's main office. You will need your studentвЂ™s 10 digit ID number for the first log in.

How to check student balance? Parents can go to set up an online account at no charge. Tutorial videos can be found on the Family Portal website. If you have not yet had an account, you will need to create a new account on FamilyPortal.cloud. All account information will migrate over to FamilyPortal.cloud. If you previously had an account set up on, please create a new account using the same email address. Please put your childвЂ™s name on bottom of check.В (There is a $20.00 fee for insufficient funds).ДЄs of June 1, 2022, has moved to FamilyPortal.cloud.

Secondary students can give cash directly to cashier at lunch time. For elementary, please put cash in envelope with your childвЂ™s name on the envelope. All remaining funds will be deposited on the student's account.

There are three options for parents to put money on their studentвЂ™s account: Students that qualify for free or reduced will also have an account that protects the identity and privacy of students receiving meal benefits.

This meal account together with the balance follows the student as they move throughout the district from elementary to middle to high school. Each student has an automatic meal account that is assigned to them when they enroll at the district.
